"Trauma is not what happens to you, it's what happens inside you as a result of what' happened to you"

A Person-Centred Approach to Mental Health
The Person-Centred approach is a style of therapy that draws upon the relationship between the counsellor/psychotherapist and you, the client. The right therapist for you - regardless of the type of practitioner you approach - should be someone you feel able to trust and confide in without feeling judged. Person-centred counsellors seek to offer a warm and nurturing environment where you can be yourself and share whatever feels present for you. I will empathise with you, seek to understand your experience from your point of view, and support you in accepting yourself and growing as a person. The power of being completely open and honest with another human being cannot be underestimated.
At 'In a Space', I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to talk through any issues, overwhelming emotions, low mood, inner conflict, or trauma. I will work with you either on a one-to-one basis or as part of a group to address your unique needs.
I believe that everyone has the potential to change and grow, and I can help you to believe that too.
Relate. Be understood.
Grow.
